I like golfing and I like video games and I can solve a Rubik's cube in a minute flat! I play sports at my school East Moline Christian and like hanging out with friends. I volunteer with my church (First Baptist Church, Silvis) puppet team and like working with little kids.
A veteran came to our school to teach us about flag etiquette and I didn't really think much of it at the time. Later that summer I started seeing so many torn, worn and faded flags! I changed a few but kept seeing more. We contacted the VFW Post 2153 to see about retiring the ones we were collecting and they had me speak to their group and donated 10 flags! It really has grown from there.
I think that we each should try to do good for our community in any way that you can. I enjoy changing flags for people and it is the way I've found to serve my country and honor veterans.
Nope and nope. Flags should not be printed on disposable materials and thrown away.
